Bibiana Pelaez 

Bibiana was born in Havana, Cuba in 1990, at the age of four years began studying ballet at the school of Ballet Alicia Alonso. In 1997 She started at Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba school. There, she not only learned Classic Ballet, but a variety of styles as Flamenco dance, Contemporary Dance, Modern, Folklore and Fusion Dance during ten years with renowned professors as Dania Gonzalez, Lena Delgado, Clotilde Peon (National Ballet of Cuba), Silvina Favars (National Folkloric of Cuba), Veronica Tenant (Ballet of Canada), Cristina Hoyos (Director of Ballet Flamenco of Andalucía), Curro Heredia (Joaquin Cortez’s Company), Lourdes Ulacia (National Contemporary Dance company) and others.

When she was sixteen years old, Bibiana stared her professorial career at the Docent Unit of Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba. She began teaching at the school of Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba in 2006 and two years later She received the evaluation of Specialized teacher of first level.

In 2006 She started dancing as a professional dancer at the Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba Company, in 2010 she became in Soloist Dancer and in 2012 in First Dancer of the Company.

With Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba She was presented at important stages of the world with Dance Shows and Musical Theatre as:

  • The United States (Guggenheim Museum New York, City Center New York, Auditorium of Chicago, others.)
  • Canada (Place d’ Arts Montreal, National Art Center Ottawa, Royal Alexandra Theater Toronto, others.)
  • Holland (Luxor Theatre Rotterdam, others.
  • Germany (Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Thalia Theatre, Hamburg)

  • Since 2012 until 2014 She was the choreographer and Reggisselle of the Children Ballet, preparing shows and performances for internationals travel with the children. (Hamburg, Germany 2014).

Recently moved to the U.S. and settled in Miami where She continued developing her career, teaching in different academies and schools as Conchita Espinosa Academy, Legends Studio, Vida Art Academy, Baila Flamenco Academy, Miami Country Day School, D’Scala Art Academy and Encore Academy of the Arts.
